GGG/Genesis Hospitality is currently hiring an Entry-Level Benefits and Leave Assistant to join our team in-person in our Hamilton, NJ office. The Entry-Level Benefits and Leave Assistant will assist the Benefits and Leave Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology or other fields preferred but not required

Job Qualifications: General Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) required

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher & Outlook)
  • Proficiency in Dayforce preferred but not require

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Learn all aspects of benefits and leave for the Company.
  • Assist with benefits administration in Dayforce (creating and editing benefits plans, creating and editing benefits eligibility groups, ensuring all carrier connections are in place and working properly).
  • Assist with liaising with the insurance broker to ensure the Company is competitive in the market.
  • Help to analyze plan offerings and provide feedback used to make plan design decisions.
  • Assist the HR M&A team with benefits-related due diligence for acquisitions.
  • Assist with annual ACA reporting in Dayforce.
  • Work with the Benefits Manager to ensure that all benefits premiums are paid to each carrier, monthly.
  • Assist with the annual Open Enrollment process.
  • Assist with the 401(k) program.
  • Assist with the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Assist with proper maintenance of records of benefits information and leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
  • Preserve confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
  • Acquire knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with special projects and company events as necessary.
  • Perform other related job duties as required.
  • Commitment to working outside of standard business hours, on occasion, when required. Many of our companies operate 24/7 and HR may be occasionally required to support the lines of business outside of the regular hours.
