Nova 401(k) Associates is a rapidly growing national firm providing administrative and actuarial services to companies sponsoring 401(k), pension, and other qualified retirement plans. We are a vibrant and growing national third party, non-producing administration firm. We have a nationally recognized sales team allowing us to grow continuously and provide advancement opportunities for our professionals.
We are currently seeking Defined Benefit Specialists for our Houston, TX office. This position requires either 100% attendance in our Houston office or a work schedule that includes some Houston office time and some work at home time.
Although welcome, no experience is required, and paid training will be provided. This is a full-time non-exempt, salaried position focused on learning the fundamentals of defined benefit and defined contribution plans. To support your professional development, we will pay for your study time and associated exams fees for ASPPA credentials. Future career development opportunities include advancing on a DB/DC consulting career track, transferring to the DC side, or pursuing an actuarial career.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or other quantitative-focused degree preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in finding the optimal solutions for clients
- Superior written and verbal skills
- Ability to manage a dashboard (to do list) of assigned work
- Ability to work efficiently to meet goals and deadlines
- Extremely accurate with numerical calculations and ability to critically review numerical work product
- Great at establishing a process to avoid repeating previous mistakes
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize assignments based on deadlines
- Ability to work extremely well as a team player and enter each day with a positive attitude
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
