Our team has experience in interior design, graphic designs, architecture, product design, point of sale, furniture as well as exhibition design disciplines. These combine to create a unique, well-rounded team performance for designs ranging from small pop-up and shell-scheme installations to large, purpose-built exhibition stands, chalets and permanent visitor centers.
RTH Group is looking to hire a freelance or in-house exhibition designer for work out of our East Longmeadow office, (hybrid / remote for the right candidate)

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Looking for an Entry level Exhibition designer to join our team, will work directly with the Exhibit Design team, account executives and project management to deliver creative modular and custom exhibit design solutions based on client criteria. Exhibit Design work includes, sketching, 3D modeling/rendering, and detailing of designs for pricing and presentation. Use design research, graphic design tools, and environmental design to create work of moderate to high complexity.
Will provide on-site training for qualified applicants.

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS:

Vectorworks 2D & 3D CAD / modeling / rendering
FormZ with Rendering plug-in Vray or similar experience with 3D software for modeling, animating, texturing, and rendering exhibits required
Working experience with Adobe Suite. (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required
Solid familiarity with modular exhibiting systems, custom fabrication, and graphic production required
3 - 4 years of experience designing trade show exhibits required
A strong portfolio of client work reflecting the requirements of this position
Experience in product and graphic design a strong plus
Experience with augmented environments a strong plus
Experience presenting design related topics to audiences a strong plus
Understanding and experience with design processes
Ability to design graphic materials for exhibit designs

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in exhibit design or industrial design or related field

Responsibilities:

Fluency in visualization standards and practices
Understanding of design planning
Understanding of materials, fabrication processes and techniques
Translates CAD information from clients/designers to suit design purposes and processes
Coordinates designs with graphic, content and technology elements
Develops 3D digital models / visuals / renderings / design direction sketches
Develops presentation plans/elevations/sections/axons, visualizations, and flythroughs
Develops image / mood boards and finish palettes
Develops fabrication intent documentation (drawings / specifications)
Conducts and communicates design research for projects
Works under minimal supervision
Archives design work and records a timesheet
