Entry Level Packaging Trainer

We’re seeking an inclusive and committed Trainer to join Frito-Lay, where you will be responsible for training our entry level packers around constructing and packing cases them full of the products you already know and love. You will also instruct the trainees on proper cleaning practices on our packaging line, weighers, and equipment.
We are open 24 hours a day, which means you may not have a typical schedule. As a Packaging Support Technician (PST) Trainer, you would work between 40-50 hours per week and be eligible to receive full benefits including health insurance, dental and vision, retirement benefits including 401(k) with company contribution, plus more.
It’s a physical job! While all are welcome to apply, understand that you will be on your feet the entirety of your shift. Packers are expected to stay on the line until relieved for break. We’re seeking individuals who are flexible, committed, safety-focused, and have a desire to improve other s abilities.
Role and Responsibilities
Primary accountabilities include:
Own training of new Entry Level Packaging employees (PSTs) in hand packing chips into boxes, sorting boxes, and cleaning for changeovers and sanitation
Prepping and facilitating New Employee Orientations (NEO) for all incoming new employees, including ensuring all folders are created and all items are ready for new hires

Mentor all PSTs and follow up on any training outages, with the ability to flex schedules to follow up with newly trained PSTs

• Other accountabilities include:

Complete all PST ergonomic evaluations
Work with Team Supervisors to complete an effective 90-day evaluation through the WAVE process
Own Product System Monitoring (PSM) Program
Become trained on PSM auditor skill audits
Help develop long-term plan for changeover execution
Own Allergen Program (Fix the Mix)
Adhere to the Environmental, Health & Safety requirements including completing tasks in a safe manner, attending safety meetings and mandatory EHS training, and reporting any unsafe conditions or acts, unanticipated hazards, or environmental concerns.
