WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Walt Disney Company and Epic Games are collaborating on an all-new games and entertainment universe.
In addition to being a world-class games experience, this new persistent universe will offer a multitude of opportunities for consumers to play, watch, and engage with content, characters, and stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, Avatar, and more.
Players, gamers, and fans of all kinds will be able to create their own stories and experiences, express their fandom in a distinctly Disney way, and share content with each other in ways that they love. Come join us in creating the future of interactive entertainment.
Epic Games is searching for a highly talented and creative Senior Environment Artist to join our team in building memorable environment assets and props for our collaboration with Disney. We are looking for versatile artists who can build ideally both organic and hard surface assets. Push your artistic talent to the limit on a team of world-class environment, character, and concept artists who strive to innovate and inspire.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
- Own and deliver large and complex areas of game environments
- Model and texture a wide variety of props/assets, adhering to the art direction of the game while considering technical constraints
- Creatively model from rudimentary or unfinished concepts, showing an understanding of the goals of the design, to final, production-ready models
- Create solid, high-fidelity textures of any given surface
- Some environment layout in-engine, but primarily a DCC-driven role
- Be a major driver and voice in cross-discipline visual development
- Scope, plan, and time cost out deliverables and create documentation to support visual direction
