What is your mission:
The Environment, Health and Safety Technician supports, implements and oversees the organization’s environmental, health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that the facility is in compliance with regulations.

What you will be doing:

  • Schedule and supervise the activities of corrective maintenance, preventive and predictive, aiming to keep the plant and its equipment in suitable conditions operation.
  • Promoting workplace inspections, identifying hazardous conditions by taking all necessary steps to eliminate risk situations, as well as train and educate employees about safety attitudes at work;
  • Prepare training programs on workplace safety, including awareness programs and dissemination of safety standards, aiming at the development of a preventive attitude in employees regarding job security;
  • Determine the use by workers of personal protective equipment (PPE), as well as state and inspect fire protection equipment when conditions so require, in order to reduce the risks to the safety and physical integrity of the worker;
  • Raise and study statistics of occupational accidents, occupational diseases and work, analyzing its causes and severity, in order to adopt preventive measures;
  • Perform inspections in workplaces, identifying hazardous conditions by taking all necessary steps to eliminate risk situations, as well as train and educate employees about safety attitudes at work;
  • Attending to emergencies involving environmental accidents;
  • Identification and characterization of pollution sources, conducting sampling for assessment the quality of the environment and emissions pollution sources, interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports;
  • Must actively support continuous safety improvements such as Brunswick Safety Management System

Who are we looking for:
We are looking for someone with a degree in engineering with the legal and required certification to perform the EH&S function (CAP), with an analytical and smart approach to face all the daily challenges and implement new solutions to improve our overall EH&S procedures and metrics. We would prefer a 2-4 year’s industry experience background. Proven competency in spoken/written English is crucial for the role as a strong team spirit and high level of organization and attention to detail.
