JOB DESCRIPTION
An opportunity has arisen for a Ramboll Environment & Health (REH) Country Manager for Ramboll’s Belgium operations working to support our EHS auditing, Due Diligence, Contaminated Land and Sustainability practices at local and European level.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of winning work and developing sustainable relationships with medium to large size Belgian and international clients. As a seasoned consultant the candidate will have a good understanding of environmental legislation and risk management in Belgium, be self-confident, diligent, proactive, willing to work flexible hours when required and able to build working relationships with colleagues and clients. The position may require periods of out of office travel and project work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master degree in environmental/EHS science, environmental/EHS engineering or similar, Bachelor degree with proven track record is also an option
- Strong English language skills both written and spoken, in addition to good knowledge of both country languages Flemish and French
- Experience in international firms
- Strong appetite for business development and client focus
- People and team management experience
- Relevant experience in contaminated land and remediation, EHS due diligence and compliance auditing, sustainability, and associated services
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Proficient computer skills
- A strong attention to detail and value-add oriented approach
- Demonstrable quality and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Managing and further developing of Ramboll’s client portfolio in Belgium
- People and operations management of the Belgium operations
- Active participation in the design and implementation of local business and marketing plans for REHs main service lines, in cooperation with Benelux and Division Management
- Implementation of Ramboll’s growth and development strategy in Belgium
- Conducting technical work of the highest standards
- Preparation of bids and proposals
