Description:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree with a major in chemistry, hydrogeology, environmental or other related sciences, or engineering;
- Experience in conducting technical research and analysis and comparing analysis to environmental standards or legislation; and
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND SUITABILITY
Candidates should have and may be assessed on:
- The ability to effectively manage time, priorities and a changing workload;
- Strong written and verbal communications skills;
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with others; andAbility to apply environmental regulations and processes to inform decision making.

YOUR ROLE
The Standards & Approvals section of the Environmental Protection and Assessment Branch establishes environmental standards and implements policies and regulations to enhance environmental quality. The Environmental Protection Analyst contributes to these initiatives by analyzing, developing and implementing Environment Act regulations, policies and related programs.
Our ideal candidate has experience in development and interpretation of environmental policy and legislation, strong analytical and communication skills, seeks collaborative solutions and is able to work well independently and as part of a team.
