Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Environment and Sustainability Advisor (Projects) provides vital environmental management support for our Australasian Sustainability Program, and is responsible for projects relating to the implementation and continuous improvement of the environmental management system ISO14001 standards. You will work on projects such as, but not limited to, conducting carbon workshops with all lines of business including supporting other group led commitments like waste management plans, water management plans and biodiversity assessments.
The role can be based in Henderson in Western Australia or Adelaide, South Australia.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Sustainability
  • Proven experience in an environmental advisory position
  • Demonstrated experience in site contractor management including coaching, mentoring and skills development
  • Previous experience with environmental monitoring techniques
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of relevant environmental management legislation;
  • Expert knowledge of contemporary environmental practices and key issues associated with ship sustainment
  • Investigation skills, including knowledge of ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) or similar
  • Lead ISO14001 auditor qualifications
