We are now looking to hire an Associate for our ESG Advisory & Transaction Services team in The Netherlands.
Our ESG Advisory & Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Team
Our M&A team works with a wide range of leading companies in the financial services sector, such as private equity firms, commercial banks, and development institutions, as well as international corporate clients. The team works on cutting-edge, fast-paced projects, supporting clients on transactions (including ESG, EHS, and technical due diligence cases), as well as various other ESG and Climate Strategy support and advisory projects along the investment cycle.
What you’ll do:
As an Associate Consultant, you will work closely with service line leaders and senior project managers who will coach you and help you develop subject matter expertise in the above-described areas. You will support them by conducting relevant research, gathering data from clients, analyzing information, finding solutions, and communicating the findings/solutions through reports. You will learn about the challenges our clients face and how ERM’s solutions can help them achieve their business goals.
You may be required to do some domestic or international travel.
Additionally, you will support the line leaders with a wide variety of additional tasks including, but not limited to, developing client-ready proposals, preparing sales pitches, developing the service offering, and other business activities.
Who you’ll work with:
You will be based in one of our offices in The Netherlands (Utrecht or Rotterdam) and be part of our ESG Advisory & Transaction Services Team. The team is composed of a diverse and international set of management and technical consultants specialized in Sustainability and ESG.
What you’ll bring:
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants with a Master’s-level degree in science-related subjects such as Environmental Science, Bio-Engineering, Chemistry, Sustainability, and Climate Change-related programs. We would also welcome applicants with a Science or Engineering degree who have later obtained a Master’s degree in Business Management or other areas such as finance, economics, or law.
For this role, you should have some previous experience as an environmental/sustainability consultant and have gained some technical knowledge on ESG and EHS related topics.

Additional requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Ability to produce detailed and coherent written reports
  • Strong Dutch and English communication and writing skills
  • High level of independence and self-confidence
  • Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines is central to this position
