Responsibilities:

You will be part of environmental Compliance and Risk management business unit consisting of twenty environmental and sustainability experts and environmental lawyers. Typical projects of the business unit are related to large scale industrial project development such as environmental permitting and risk assessments, due diligence, and sustainability services for the international and domestic clients. You will be part of the very experienced and strong 10 people environmental consulting team who have deep and wide knowledge about environmental management to support you and to share knowledge and best practices. Business unit works in close collaboration with other Environment & Health sector business units as well as other sectors in Ramboll Finland and other countries.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Lead the preparation and acquisition of environmental permits required for various projects.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental regulations and compliance strategies during all phases of construction.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and regulatory authorities to ensure environmental obligations are fulfilled.
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and other related studies.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance at construction sites.
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and sustainability initiatives.
  • Facilitate training and promote environmental awareness among staff and contractors.
  • Respond to environmental emergencies or incidents, and lead mitigation measures.
