Description:

ERM is looking for a junior Environmental Consultant with understanding and some experience of Permitting and environmental impact assessment to join our growing Capital Project Delivery team in Italy. For more information on the projects of the team, have a look here

The job will be offered as a full time, hybrid work with possibility to work from our Milan office and remotely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop Prefeasibility and Environmental & Social Impact Assessment studies, permitting studies, EDD (mainly focused on Italian market);
  • Manage environmental critical aspects to ensure compliance with all applicable Italian regulations;
  • Ability and flexibility to work across a range of services and sectors including: Energy (Renewables, Power, Oil&Gas, H2), Infrastructure, CCSU and Manufacturing;
  • Provide compliance assurance of technical studies with applicable International Standards (IFC, IPIECA, EBRD,etc.), legal institutional requirements.
  • Actively interact with subcontractors and other members of the team.

What you will need to succeed

  • A master degree in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or other relevant disciplines.
  • Ideally some experience in relevant fields such as consulting or environmental services.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, written and spoken.
  • Familiarity with International Standard (IFC, EBRD, etc.).
  • Ability to write well-structured, concise and well-reasoned reports, proposals and documents.
  • GIS skills will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with emerging energy systems (hydrogen, offshore wind, battery storage, floating solar) will be considered a plus.
