REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • 2 to 5 years of related industry experience;
  • Diploma or University Degree in a related field, preferably Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, and/or Regulatory Compliance;
  • Experience working with air emissions, calculations, analysis and other environmental data collection and reporting;
  • Expertise in quantification of results required for emissions reporting;
  • Knowledge of gas processing facility operations;
  • Experience in provincial and federal Canadian regulatory frameworks;
  • Experience in North Dakota and federal US regulatory frameworks is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret regulations, guidelines and standards;
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Word and Excel;
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Willingness to travel to our field locations.
    Our Steel Reef team has returned to the office, however, to provide our employees with flexibility, we have implemented a trial hybrid work model where employees have the option to work from home four (4) days per month. Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytical, scientific, and technical calculations of emission quantification for corporate reporting;
  • Completing and verifying the inputs of fugitive emissions survey, equipment inventory, and vent measurement results through various emissions databases;
  • Assisting with regulatory reporting associated with Emissions Management programs including Saskatchewan Output Based Performance Standard (OBPS), Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR), federal Green House Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP), National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI), and Multi-Sector Air Pollutant Regulation (MSAPR) requirements;
  • Review production summary reports and deconflicting errors to ensure accuracy of inputs into emissions databases;
  • General technical data gathering and manual report entry as required;
  • Support the execution of compliance management of all environmental regulations; analyze and assess the impact of emerging environmental regulations and risks and develop mitigation strategies.
