Responsibilities:

WHAT DO YOU GET TO DO IN THIS POSITION?

  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs and policies
  • Conduct regular facility wide inspections and audits to identify & correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety protocols and best practices
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures
  • Stay updated on environmental, health, and safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance
  • Participate in the design and review of facilities and processes to ensure safety and environmental standards are met
  • Develop emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills and exercises
    Who will you report to? Environmental Health & Safety Manager
    Qualifications:

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Security, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • +2 years of experience in safety, security, engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Machinery Safety, Lock out, Tag Out, Waste Water Treatment, and Hazardous Waste.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in Environmental health and Safety.
  • Aware of ISO environment regulations and principles, workers’ compensation and injury management.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, State and Federal safety rules and regulations.
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Certification in Enviromental Heatlh and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is a plus.
