Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Environmental Manager to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, KSA.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to work within our vastly expanding and award-winning sustainability and environmental team to spearhead the growth of our business within the Middle East and Europe. Candidates must be self-motivated and bring energy, drive and passion to their work and be able to build on the success of the existing team. The ideal candidate will drive compliance with environmental regulations, oversee construction activities with an emphasis on sustainability, and ensure high standards are maintained in accordance with local and international guidelines.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) over a wide range of infrastructure, industrial projects, masterplans, etc.
  • Overseeing on-site environmental compliance of construction activities, ensuring adherence to approved Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) guidelines.
  • Developing and implement construction management and environmental monitoring plans, including site assessments and compliance audits.
  • Understanding and experience of applying environmental and social safeguards of international finance institutions such as the World Bank Group is beneficial.
  • Delivering high quality environmental reports to governmental and private clients.
  • Planning or conducting field work involving environmental sampling and monitoring (air, noise, waste, ecology, etc.) is beneficial.
  • A specialization in a particular field (air, noise, marine science, ecology, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Working closely with engineering specialists and other experts.
  • Reviewing complex documents, summaries and present key issues in a clear and concise way.
  • Client facing experience in meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team and in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include a minimum of 15 years’ experience partnered with a BEng/MSc in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Management with EIA development and delivery experience.
We are seeking relevant project management experience working for large scale infrastructure, industrial and masterplan projects. Experience in environmental management systems, Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Environmental Compliance Studies and auditing is beneficial, such as the development and/or supervision of construction management and monitoring plans.
Knowledge of principles and practices of research and data collection, a successful track record of staying within budget and schedule on projects and experience of the delivery of technical reports, will be considered critical. In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian environmental regulations and ESIA standards and Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
