We provide land acquisition, geospatial mapping, data management, web-based GIS, community relations, land feasibility studies, and permitting services. Canacre’s clients include developers, large scale service providers, and government entities that are involved in the planning and development of energy projects, rights of way, resources, and infrastructure across Canada and the United States. Canacre works on large-scale wind and solar power projects, high-voltage transmission lines, pipeline projects, municipal roads projects, and groupings of cellular towers and rooftop antennas.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a variety of environmental projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, knowledge of environmental regulations, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Biology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field would be an asset).
Experience
- Proven experience in environmental project management (Minimum 5 years of experience).
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of construction best practices and typical monitoring requirements would be an asset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of environmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Foster Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and other project stakeholders to ensure project success and compliance with environmental standards.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Environmental Compliance: Stay up to date on environmental regulations and ensure that projects adhere to all applicable laws and standards.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with environmental projects, ensuring a proactive and effective risk management approach.
- Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver project reports to clients, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and challenges.
