Description:
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing environmental remediation projects. The role involves identifying and addressing environmental issues, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing effective strategies to restore contaminated sites.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in environmental remediation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Qualifications:
A member in good standing in one of the following:
- Alberta Institute of Agrologists
- Alberta Society of Professional Biologists
- Alberta Forest Management Professionals (AAFMP)
- Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta
- Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta
- Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta
- Proven experience in environmental remediation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- 5 years of relevant experience in remediation and reclamation.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geoscientist, Certified Environmental Professional).
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in environmental remediation.
- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) software.
