WHO YOU ARE:
Versar Global Solutions is seeking an Environmental Scientist whose primary responsibilities will include assisting a team of scientists in supporting various environmental research programs for Federal regulatory agencies such as EPA and FDA, addressing topics related to toxic chemicals and food safety.
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS
The position will primarily work remote.
Responsibilities:
Duties will involve conducting online literature searches, compiling and analyzing environmental data using spreadsheets, documenting methods used, and generating tables, charts, and technical reports to communicate results to the client. The successful candidate may also support additional projects, as needed, which may include fate and transport of contaminants; exposure modeling and risk assessment; scientific peer review and workshop coordination; and other office-related tasks.
An educational background and working familiarity with the following concepts are desirable: environmental data analysis, exposure and risk assessment; fate and transport analysis and/or modeling tools for toxic chemicals and/or pesticides; food safety; and environmental conference/meeting facilitation hands-on experience.
