THIS OPPORTUNITY

WSP is seeking a team-oriented and self-directed candidate to support their San Diego Environmental Water Group. Recent experience supporting regulatory compliance programs in stormwater, the aquatic environment, and/or experience working in an environmental laboratory setting. Experience working as part of field teams, and being knowledgeable in the collection of field data, particularly related to stormwater, marine sample collection, use of water quality collection instruments, and experience with scientific diving and boat operation is desirable. Strong field, writing, and data QA/QC skills are required. Experience working in Southern California is preferred.
Experience and fluency using MS Excel, the ability to follow strict QA/QC procedures and strong attention to detail is required. Knowledge of statistical procedures, analytical chemistry, and project management skills are desired.
Ideal candidate will have knowledge of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs, the Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404; the Porter-Cologne Act; the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act; the Coastal Zone Management Act; Stormwater programs; and other applicable local, state, and federal regulations and guidance.
