JOB OVERVIEW:

S&I Cleaning Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in commercial settings. The Environmental Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing work tasks of both housekeeping and laundry staff in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work is preferred.
• Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• WHMIS Certification is required.
• Minimum OHHA Environmental Services Leadership Program Certification.
• Experience in maintaining a safe working environment, with strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Positive, responsible and self-motivated and capable of working with minimum supervision
• Must be proficient in English, both oral and written. (Knowledge of Spanish is a bonus)
• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and guidelines.
• 3 Covid-19 Vaccines are mandatory.

• Conduct environmental cleaning and maintenance tasks in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals are being used for various surfaces.
• Handle custodial responsibilities as needed.
• Manage commercial cleaning duties to ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Overseeing the daily operations of the cleaning staff.
• Scheduling and assigning tasks to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
• Hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Managing supplies and equipment, ensuring they are well-stocked and maintained.
• Ensuring that all cleaning activities comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other relevant regulations.
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
