Description:
The ESG Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring Howmet´s Supply Chain Sustainability Program is successful in identifying impacts, risks, and develops effective mitigation strategies. New and upcoming regulations on the topic, focus on human rights and supplier Environment, Social and Governance due diligence practices are a key part of the role. You will drive continuous improvement within our Supplier Sustainability Program, as well as within the ESG performance of our supply chain, by ensuring the quality of our supplier due diligence, evaluation of supplier ESG assessment results and interventions taken as a response of the data evaluation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Howmet’s commitment to sustainability and the sustainability performance of our supply chain. The position reports to the Senior Manager Sustainability and is a member of the Sustainability Committee.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, environment sciences or a related field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sustainability/ ESG roles or Responsible Sourcing
- Fluent in English
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in Hungary. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Supplier Due Diligence & Human Rights, as well as sustainable sourcing programs.
- Procurement / Supply Chain experience, ideally in sustainability due diligence
- Human rights degree, training and or work experience related to Human Rights
- Knowledge of Supply Chain ESG regulations such as the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, etc.
- Fluent in German or French
