ABOUT THE ROLE:
John Holland’s Infrastructure division is currently constructing some of Australia’s most complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. Due to industry expansion, the John Holland Infrastructure business is currently seeking a Finance Manager for an upcoming $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Formulate and administer approved general accounting practices to ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.
- Oversee the preparation of financial information and reports in accordance with statutory and compliance requirements.
- Ensure activities related to the function comply with relevant Acts, national and state regulatory frameworks, legal demands, systems and ethical standards.
- Ensure financial outcomes in reducing costs and meeting budgets.
- Ensure contractual and commercial awareness in Head Contract and subcontract agreements.
- Participate in, or direct the development of accounting methods, compliance and governance processes and practices and administer approved accounting procedures.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS KEY ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:
- Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor level) in discipline relevant to function area e.g. Management/Finance/Commerce/Accounting/Business
- Significant relevant Finance Management experience at a senior manager level, leading a large Infrastructure project.
- Multi-discipline experience in the construction industry, major industrial organisation or adjacent sectors to construction
- Experience in Banking and Finance, or Finance and Administration function on projects
