Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to perform support as part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate located at Kettering, OH (Dayton, WPAFB).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and mid-level personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
- Must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise. (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface)
- High school diploma is required.
- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) or Doctorate from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
- BA/BS Degree from an ABET accredited program in Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering Discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications is required; 8 of which must be in the DoD.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
This position will lead one or multiple Scrum teams for product development efforts. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of Agile development principles, experience working in or leading Scrum teams, and will need to be a self-starter and willing to reach out to other program team members and/or outside stakeholders to accomplish goals with little direction.
POSSESSES KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES AND DEVELOPMENT TOOLS:
- Agile principles, methodologies, and enabling technologies, e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, CheckMarx, SonarQube, Zephyr (Required).
- Cloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- General cloud technologies, e.g., elasticity, scalability, IaC, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, on-demand instantiation, containers, Kubernetes, serverless/Lambda.

Responsibilities:
- Perform work that involves applying analytical processes to the planning, design,
- and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customer organizations.
- Performing needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions;
- Consulting with customers to identify and recommending requirements;
- Recommending overall functional and systems requirements and specifications;
- Conducting business process reengineering;
- Conducting feasibility studies and trade-off analyses;
- Preparing business cases for the application of IT solutions;
- Recommending systems scope and objectives;
- Developing cost estimates for new or modified systems;
- Ensuring the integration of all systems components, e.g., procedures, databases, policies, software, and hardware;
- Planning systems implementation
- Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to the systems analysis process.
