Are you eager for a new challenge? Seeking a role that not only fully utilizes your technical expertise as a Programme Specialist but offers creativity and have a hand in something exceptional?
We have recently set up an EPMO at Napier City Council, this was about creating cohesion, transparency, shared understanding of work underway and ways of working. Above all else this role is about adding value to the place and community we call home and preparing it for the years and decades ahead.
Please note this role will be based out of our Napier Office.

As Programme Specialist your will key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and mentor teams in portfolio, programme, and project management.
  • Assist in developing and implementing EPMO processes, procedures, tools, and techniques.
  • Provide training and change management support for EPMO activities and methodologies.
  • Assess project and programme performance, recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Offer expert planning skills for programmes and projects.
  • Aid in designing and supporting governance and reporting structures for programmes or projects.
  • Conduct health checks and stage gate reviews on programmes or projects as necessary.
  • Support the development of portfolio management, prioritization, and reporting systems.

About You:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent expertise.
  • A minimum of 9+ years of experience in program, project, or change management roles.
  • Agility and willingness to move seamlessly between strategy and delivery.
  • Proven experience in change management processes and successful project delivery.
  • Recognized as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of leading projects and business analysis to achieve success in complex settings.
