LACO Technologies is seeking an entry-level Controls Engineer / Equipment Engineer to both help design and maintain equipment for our Calibration Lab and assist other Controls engineers in their projects. This job will provide both external and on-the-job training to help the individual succeed in the high-market demand field of Controls Engineering. If a student applies, they must be able to work 30 hours per week. We offer flexible schedules that work around school time.
Additionally, this position will support Laco manufacturing process on an as-needed basis. Tasks could include process review and documentation and engineering drawing design.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • PLC Programming and HMI software proficiency (mostly Unitronics PLC and HMI programming, but will include others)
  • Other programming skills a plus (C, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Skilled in understanding industrial electrical systems in both theory and practical.
  • The candidate must be able to create schematics and the assembly of electrical systems.
  • Pneumatic controls.
  • Communications Protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Completed or current Engineering degree (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology)
  • Proven record of being reliable and accountable
