We are looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate Research & Development Team in Leuven, Belgium. In the role of Equipment Engineer you will drive top performance of our ALD and/or EPI tools and facilities to maximize uptime, enable quick recovery after intervention, and by performing proactive preventive maintenance. You should be an excellent troubleshooter, self-driven and innovative in your approach with a strong safety-first attitude. Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on corrective and preventive maintenance of ASM process equipment (thermal and Plasma ALD tools)
  • Resolve tool issues through logical structured troubleshooting and a strong sense of urgency
  • Communicate action plans to address tool down situations to key stakeholders
  • Support facilities upgrades and installation of new equipment
  • Utilize procedures and create pre-task plans, providing redlines for updates as needed
  • Assist Process Engineers in tool related tasks
  • Handle procurement and logistics of chemicals used on the ASM process equipment, including vessel changes on the equipment.
  • Manage procurement and logistics of spare parts
  • Write reports and document completed tasks
  • Ensure safety-centered mindset is followed for all activities
