ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Bankstown Hospital is seeking an Equipment Enrolled Nurse to join our busy Emergency Department team, to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care through effective equipment management.
This role is crucial for ensuring that essential medical devices are operational, safe, and readily available for clinical use, allowing healthcare teams to focus on patient needs without interruption.
The Enrolled Nurse Equipment Officer will coordinate equipment maintenance, oversee repairs, and manage equipment availability, working collaboratively with clinical staff to resolve issues quickly. Strong organisational skills, a thorough understanding of medical equipment protocols, and a commitment to high standards of care are essential to this position, as it directly impacts patient safety and staff efficiency within the hospital environment.

Responsibilities:
The Equipment Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Emergency Department equipment, stock inventory and coordination of consignment/loan stock. In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Nursing Leadership team ensuring safe patient care delivery.
The Enrolled Nurse works with the Registered Nurse or Midwife as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, quality person-centered care.
