Jardeg is recruiting an Equipment Operator to join the Quinn Construction Maintenance at the NOVA Chemicals site near Red Deer, Alberta.

Reporting to site supervision, the role Equipment Operator will be expected to start asap working on a 4/3 Shift and 10 hours/day. The Equipment Operator is expected to service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as traveling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.This position will perform telehandler work at our client’s facility located in Joffre. The succesful candidate must have experience operating heavy equipment as well.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
  • Move material operating Zoom Boom and Skid Steer.
  • Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
  • Identify safety risks and hazards on site.
  • Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
  • Receive written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
  • Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
  • Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.
  • Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment.
