Description:
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for an organised, efficient and friendly Team Lead to join the team and our small but busy lighting rental company in East London. You will need previous experience working within the warehouse/kitroom of a rental house, studio or similar, and be ready to take on the role of team leader with a hands-on approach.
We particularly welcome female applicants and those from an ethnic minority, as they are under-represented at Gripvan in these roles.
The role will run on a shift pattern, to be decided between you and your fellow team leads, however this normally takes the form of Early (7am-4pm) or Late (10am-7pm) shifts run on a week on, week off format. Work outside these hours may be required from time to time.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the kitroom team to work efficiently, removing obstacles and helping organise workflow.
- Work alongside fellow team leaders to support the Operations Manager in maintaining and developing systems to increase time efficiencies and to manage our rental and sale stock effectively.
- Have a hands on approach, including driving our range of fleet vehicles on deliveries and collections, as well as loading, unloading, prepping and checking equipment
- Ensure that prep and de-prep is carried out swiftly and accurately. Follow up missing and damaged items.
- Run annual and ad-hoc stock takes to report inventory levels to management accurately and in a timely manner
- Sourcing, interviewing and supervising casual (freelance) staff to support the core warehouse team and to ensure that Gripvan’s high standards are maintained at all times.
- Working with the Operations Manager and Financial Controller to facilitate building repairs, upgrades and maintain / purchase equipment used by the warehouse team .
- PAT testing equipment and training others on PAT testing. (Initial training will be provided if required)
- Ensuring that recycling rates within the warehouse are kept high, and continually improved.
