We are looking for a Equipment Technician III - Calibration to join our team in Costa Rica. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and making an impact on our life-saving work, this may be a good fit for you! As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
SUMMARY: Under medium supervision, performs, document and control simple calibration technical functions relating to test, layout, quality control, creation, modification, and assembly of mechanical equipment and/or components. Performs electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical or test calibration technician duties in such areas as manufacturing, maintenance, quality, testing, engineering, and development where limited judgment is required. Constructs, inspects, calibrates, adjusts, test and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Administrating the calibration system, through control, documentation and coordination with external suppliers of calibration of equipment such as: Instron tensile -tester ("Pull-Test"); Micro Vu; Scope –Smart; Optical –Comparator; Mike –Laser; Measuring instruments
- Coordinate and document repair, testing, calibration and inspection instruments, test equipment and other equipment associated with the production lines.
- Adjust and operate manufacturing equipment / laboratory associated with the production and quality assurance of manufactured devices.
- Write Technical reports related to system calibration.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma and a technical degree in metrology, maintenance or electromechanics.
- Also 4-5 years of experience in medical industry, 2-3 years of those as technician experience.
- Intermediate English language (reading and writing, preferably communicate by phone).
- Proficient in Windows and Office software packages, Minitab, PowerBI, SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting.
- Ability and willingness to learn and perform calibrations of equipment specified in the calibration system.
