Citi is a dynamic organization that joined the Saudi stock Exchange (Tadawul) as a local Saudi based broker in 2019 and has ever since expanded its activities to many others including providing Direct Custody services in Saudi Arabia.
This role opening is specific to Cash Equity Operations which supports the Brokerage trading desk. The successful candidate will join a team of 3 professionals : (i) the immediate goal is to perform multiple processing activities in a fast-paced environment while focusing on quality, details, and accuracy (ii) the longer term goal is to drive initiatives in order to improve existing controls and align the services provided by operations to support both the Trading desk and the wider Citi franchise
Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business and have significant impact across the lifecycle of a trade. We partner extensively with a range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with our external client base, playing a key role in the overall client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting and monitoring the Front office bookings in different trade capture systems:
o Account setup and performance of due diligence
o Producing exhaustive reports in a timely manner to the different stakeholders
o Trade confirmation on trade date including mitigating any queries in a timely manner
o Identify and address issues by liaising with IT to log each item in order to improve the STP rate
- Ensuring that any risk is identified, prioritised, managed and escalated in a timely manner
- Liaison with Custodians, the Exchange, Sales/Traders (mainly in Middle East/Europe based), Finance, Legal and Compliance
- Ability to provide top support to all clients (Qualified Foreign Investors and local GCC) with their queries.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the Financial markets in general and Brokerage mechanisms in particular
- Strong excel and analytical/problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic
- Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
Education:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Finance, Banking or related field (required)
- Previous internship with a Broker ideally or a banking institution (preferred)
