Job Introduction
The role will proactively drive forward and deliver the firm’s EDI strategy , providing ideas and pragmatic solutions to the business to ensure that our workplace is as diverse and inclusive as possible , where everyone feels able to achieve their potential. The role can be Bristol or Leeds based.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a review of the current (FY 21-25) EDI strategy, including target setting.
  • Working closely with the Talent Partner, Early Talent/Learning & Development/Resourcing and the wider business, you will design and deliver activities to achieve the objectives of the EDI Strategy.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of EDI activity to maintain momentum and progress, including, but not limited to:
  • supporting co-chairs with delivery of diversity networks’ plans (Access, Spectrum and Women +) by offering effective guidance and insight, generating ideas / supporting delivery of ways to mark awareness days and harnassing network members’ views to influence policy and change;
  • driving forward Race Action Plans and the Disability Confident plan ( to achieve Disability Confident Leader Status);
  • supporting delivery of initiatives such as Reconnect ; Back to Work Mentors ; Project Search ; accessibility champions ; establishing a peer support network for parents of neuroatypical children .
  • capitalising on DACB’s membership of third party organisations such as Business Disability Forum, Working Families, Aspiring Solicitors and Stonewall.
  • Supporting client relationship management and business development activities through provision of information to the Bids Team, Client Relationship Partners and occasional direct contact with DACB clients and/or counterparts within client organisations to build sector knowledge.
  • Contributing to effective inclusion training solutions, working with learning and development colleagues.
  • Tracking progress against key deliverables and providing analysis and reporting of data , in collaboration with the HR operations team, to influence key decisions .
  • Submissions and reporting : contributing to benchmark submissions ( e.g. Working Families, Stonewall, Disability Confident) ; compiling annual EDI Report; supporting the Reward Team with pay gap reporting; supporting ongoing collection of diversity data ; reporting periodically to the Executive Board and other business leaders.
  • Supporting internal and external communications and brand by contributing towards the design and delivery of a proactive communications plan telling our story, for example through social media or external awards.
  • Driving knowledge and generating improved awareness around the importance of intersectional and holistic approaches to inclusion through stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business.

The Ideal Candidate

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience of formulating and implementing EDI strategy.
  • Proven experience of delivering and/or supporting EDI initiatives in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of supporting colleague networks.
  • Experience of working in a professional or corporate business environment.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience of gender pay gap reporting .
  • Using data to influence key decisions and identify trends and priorities
