Description:
Desjardins Capital Markets is currently seeking a Research Associate in the Consumer Products sector for its Equity Research team in Toronto. You have an opportunity to work with an equity analyst on the publication of company and industry research reports and comments. Also, you have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the Consumer Products sector and the institutional equity business. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Assist in the development of comprehensive company/industry specific financial and operational models
- Help maintain and develop sector specific databases
- Compile and evaluate industry information and research
- Assist in generating company and industry research reports and comments
- Provide analytical, quantitative and administrative support to the analyst as required
- Assist with ad-hoc projects, presentations and assignments as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel from companies under coverage

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, or in a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in analyzing financial statements and creating financial models in Excel
- Title CFA, CPA or MBA
- Advanced computer knowledge, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Bloomberg in addition to sourcing data from the internet
- Advanced knowledge of VBA or programming
