Recruiting Consultant
We are looking for a Research Associate to join our European Capital Goods team in London. Capital Goods companies typically manufacture equipment and provide services to other sectors across a wide range of end markets. Our teams are small in number, and you will have a high level of responsibility and be empowered to make an important contribution.
As a Research Associate on the European Capital Goods team you will:
- Acquire expertise in the European Capital Goods sector and the issues facing this broad suite of companies
- Become adept at in-depth analysis of your industry and companies
- Demonstrate idea generation and make significant contributions to our highly differentiated written product and forward-looking financial analysis
- Develop relationships with institutional clients, sales and trading, as well as interact with senior management of companies in your industry
We make a strong commitment to Associate development, and give you opportunities to rapidly gain visibility and incremental responsibility. While our culture is intellectually rigorous, it is also very collegial and fun – Associates participate in a range of activities including philanthropy, development and leadership programs, social events, mentoring and annual on- and off-sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this role candidates must hold an accountancy qualification (ACA/CA/ACCA/CPA) from a Big 4 firm.
Our Research Associates typically also possess:
- A 1st class or 2:1 undergraduate degree in an academic subject from a highly ranked university
- A clear interest in investment analysis (demonstrated by the completion, or intention to complete, one or all levels of CFA exams)
- Excellent broad-based analytical skills built upon a quantitative undergraduate degree. Experience in programming and statistical analysis is highly valued but not essential.
- Finance related skills e.g. financial and market modelling, valuation and M&A analysis are a plus
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level
We look for consummate team players who seek a highly rigorous and collegial environment for their career development. These are typically 3-5 year positions with outstanding growth potential. Historically, our associate positions have proven to be excellent platforms for successful professional careers in investing.
