Description:

We are currently recruiting an ER Consultant on a full time permanent basis. Whilst the ER team is based in Scotland (Glasgow), we are flexible in the location of this role within the UK.
You’ll be working as part of the Employee Relations & Policy (ER&P) team to provide global HR/ER support, with a particular focus on case management and policy development along with providing support in seeking and implementing external legal advice including contractual changes in line with country employment laws.
You’ll be responsible, for ensuring that people leaders work within the policy and procedures set out by ACCA, you will be required to apply people policies and standard operating procedures to often challenging people situations. You will also liaise and develop relationships with a number of key stakeholders including HR Business Partners, People Operations, Reward & Payroll.
THE PERSON:
We’re looking for someone with:
- Extensive ER/HR experience of managing complex cases within the UK and (ideally) across different global geographies and in different sectors.
- Experience of fulfilling collective consultation requirements in the UK, working with recognised trade unions, where appropriate.
- Good knowledge and understanding of general employment legislation, case law and best HR practice in the UK and ideally within the global markets in which ACCA operates.
- Experience of working in a commercially driven environment, whilst demonstrating a practical and risk-based approach to employee relations.
- Strong customer focus ethos.
- Demonstrates resilience when handling a range of difficult issues and clients
- Self-motivated and can work independently as well as a member of a team.
- Can prioritise and juggle different clients and time critical priorities
- Ability to analyse complex information from different sources and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to draft HR/ER documentation, including guidance notes and manager scripts.
- CIPD qualified or equivalent ER/HR project management experience.
- Ability to coach and influence managers at all levels.
