Description:

Overview:
Our Consulting Team is seeking an ERP Business Analyst to join our State Government Practice Group. The primary focus of the role is to serve as part of our project oversight team, providing Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) services (i.e., providing risk identification and recommendations to our clients based on meeting observations, document review, and interviews) as they implement Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and similar enterprise systems. You will primarily work remotely, with some travel to the client site.
You will have the right mix of demonstrated project management expertise, exceptional organizational and self-management qualities, strong leadership capabilities, effective written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to travel. You will have experience in one or more of the following areas: state government business processes, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management, IV&V or project risk assessment, or business process analysis, and will be comfortable working in many different environments within state government. You will report to senior management within our State Government Finance and Administration Practice Area. This position can sit remotely.
Travel Expectations: Travel to client sites can reach 35%-50%.

You Will:

  • Lead and support delivery of services to clients on time, within scope, and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work products. Typical deliverables often include monthly reports on identified project risks, feedback on deliverables provided by system integrator vendors, and quarterly reports to the project steering committee regarding the project’s overall health.
  • Assess the state project team’s efforts to track project tasks, risks, action items, issues, and decisions
  • Provide verbal and written recommendations on the management of the state and software vendors project efforts
  • Assess the completion of task assignments compared to the project’s project plan
  • Conduct frequent, clear, and consistent communication to the client, team members, vendor, and other stakeholders
  • Observe project meetings to determine the health of project workstreams
  • Participate in staff/team meetings and training sessions
  • Work effectively as a team player on multiple client projects

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Past experience working with state government, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, implementation project management, or business process analysis
  • Demonstrated experience providing recommendations to project teams
  • Effective project management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of quality assurance/control procedures and demonstrated proactive problem management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner
  • Ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with staff and diverse constituencies
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Adept at using the MS Office suite including MS Project
  • PMI/IIBA/Scrum/Agile or related certifications a plus

Compensation Details:
The base salary range targeted for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
