Description:

ERP Specialist with a focus in Microsoft NAV & Business Central and experience in both C/AL and AL programming languages, who also possesses some background as an IT Business Analyst. An extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a requirement for this position to provide support, customizations, and optimization of business applications. Experience with end user training and support specifically in accounting and finance areas of AR, AP and Payroll. A strong understanding of how to implement technical business processes along with technical writing/documentation skills are needed for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central solutions tailored to business requirements.
  • Develop, test, and deploy BC extensions and integrations.
  • Troubleshoot applications errors and assist users in resolving data entry issues.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and provide suitable technical solutions.
  • Assist in requirements gathering sessions and perform in-depth analysis to align business needs with IT solutions along with proper documentation
  • Provide day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Microsoft NAV and Business Central systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Business Central with other enterprise systems and third-party applications.
  • Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and data models to ensure system functionality supports business objectives.
  • Assist in the development custom reports, tables, pages, and workflows within Business Central to enhance user experience.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and version control for Business Central.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to ensure project milestones and objectives are clearly defined and met.
  • Provide end-user training and support, user acceptance training (UAT), quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), assisting with knowledge transfer and best practices.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (minimum 4 years).

  • Proficiency in C/AL and AL programming languages for customization and development.
  • Strong experience in IT Business Analysis and Software Analysis with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of business processes.
  • Experience in system implementation, testing, and user training.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, databases, and software development lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications related to Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Business Central (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate).
  • Experience with system integration tools and APIs.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages and software tools, including SQL, Oracle, Python, C#, and Snowflake.
  • Experience with Finance, Accounting and Bookkeeping operations (including Canadian Payroll practices).
  • Familiarity with other ERP systems such as NetSuite and Yardi.
  • Experience with Document Management Systems including MS SharePoint, DocuWare and Laserfiche.
