Job Description
The successful candidate will have people management responsibilities and will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to drive sustainability initiatives and enhance transparency across ESG matters. This role is expected to evolve over time as we navigate the ESG agenda, with adaptability and a passion for developing the area being key attributes for this position.
Responsibilities

ESG Reporting

  • Lead the programme for readiness and execution of CSRD reporting for daa. Responsible for setting up the reporting practice and for guiding its development over time.
  • Understand and decipher regulations on CSRD/CSDDD and other relevant legislation and guidelines to ensure to ensure daa’s compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Deliver the implementation program for CSRD reporting, driving forward from an approved Double Materiality Assessment and Gap Analysis to ensure reporting readiness by 2026.
  • Support the development of an ESG reporting system and maintenance of auditable ESG data collection. Assist in the gathering and consolidating verified ESG data for reporting.
  • Support CSRD assurance process to ensure alignment on the drafting of compliant disclosures and evaluating pre-assurance readiness.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to guide CRSD-related workstreams across the business and ensure effective programme delivery.

ESG Strategy

  • Oversee the implementation of daa’s ESG strategy and programme of works including developing a roadmap to deliver on ESG commitments.
  • Deliver new/improved initiatives to meet ESG expectations and reporting requirements, with specific focus on Social & Governance, requiring leadership and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
  • Communicate/provide support to communicate the group’s ESG strategy externally. Identify and prepare information to regularly communicate ESG developments, improvements, and initiatives for use with media, passengers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate ESG governance, quality standards and compliance including engagement with daa’s Board, Board sub committees and accreditation bodies.
  • Monitor external expectations and translate to a daa-specific context. Carry out research and benchmarking to understand and develop solutions to complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities associated with ESG matters.
  • Qualifications

General

  • As part of daa’s wider Group Strategy team, assist in developing Corporate Strategy and overseeing its implementation. Support, challenge and add meaningful contributions to the development and implementation of daa’s Corporate Strategy.
  • Prepare presentations, reports and reference material on a wide range of internal and external topics/issues, and research/synthesise relevant industry trends and information.
  • Provide project management to support delivery of key strategic projects on an ad hoc basis, as required.Responsible for managing and developing team member assigned from the daa graduate programme and to support effective performance and development through training, mentoring and coaching where needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Role requires an individual qualified to a Degree/Masters level
  • 5 years experience in a position with applicable skill set
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex topics and the impact on our business
  • Self-starter with an appetite to embrace new challenges as they arise
  • Experience of engaging with external groups in support of company objectives/agenda
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail in their daily work, and a high level of accomplishment and motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (strong report writing and presentation skills vital)

  • Proven ability to work at senior levels, internally and externally
  • Strong research and analytical skills – ability to source relevant material and to understand, synthesise and utilise complex information
