You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our establishment within Kentigern House in the middle of a vibrant Glasgow city centre. With outstanding attention to detail, you will contribute to our organisation.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
External recruits who join the MOD who are new to the Civil Service will be subject to a six-month probation period.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and implement effective security policies and procedures to protect the establishment.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments and recommend vital improvements.
  • Work together with other departments to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Lead all aspects of access control systems and promptly address any breaches.
  • Coordinate and conduct security training and awareness programs for staff members.
  • Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports.
  • Stay informed about the most recent security technologies and current industry standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
    Ensure up to date Health and Safety policies and procedures as part of this role.
