Description:
We are on the hunt for a meticulous Estate Planning Paralegal to join our client, an AM Law 200 law firm, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will be tasked with assisting attorneys with the administration of intricate estates and trusts, as well as interacting with clients and preparing complex estate tax projections.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of administering complex estates and trusts.
- Engage with clients to answer inquiries and provide necessary information.
- Analyze tax information, identify issues, and provide potential resolutions.
- Prepare tax returns for fiduciary, estate, gift and GST, individual, and related entities.
- Respond to tax notices and correspondence, prepare amended returns, and assist with tax court proceedings or audit processes.
- Draft basic wills and revocable trusts.
- Prepare complex estate planning tax projections.
- Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and transactions.
- Ensure all client information is processed and stored in line with company policy
- Proficient in preparing Estate Tax Returns
- Skilled in handling Fiduciary Income Tax Returns
- Experience with Revocable Trusts
- Knowledgeable in drafting and executing Wills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in similar employment, ie estate planning, trusts or tax work
- Able to manage and organize large volumes of complex data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal certification
