Estates Manager - Non Operational Properties (Maternity Cover)

As an Estates Manager at Sainsbury’s, you will play a crucial role in the proactive and effective management of the Sainsbury’s & Argos extensive property portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of estate management, such as proactively managing leases and associated lease transactions, managing external consultants, minimising property costs, formulating recommendations on Landlord and Tenant matters, and building relationships with landlords and tenants. Additionally, you will liaise with internal stakeholders, including Store Managers and Regional Operation Managers, and oversee the implementation of internal projects impacting the Sainsbury’s & Argos estate. Your role will require staying updated with market trends, maintaining accurate databases and trackers, and actively managing landlord and tenant and service charge consultants, amongst others and liaising with internal FM teams.Critically, with the operational estate, to minimise disruption to trade by utilising these relationships and skills and finding resolutions to estate issues.
Overall, your success will be measured by effectively managing lease transactions, managing trade disruption effectively, implementing projects impacting the property portfolio, and ensuring the best commercial settlements for Sainsbury’s.
