Description:

We are seeking to recruit an Estates Surveyor to join the Estates Surveying Team in the Directorate of Estates & Facilities. The role is to provide a client side service in all aspects of the management of the University’s large and diverse property portfolio.
This is a wide-ranging role and will require a sound working knowledge of landlord and tenant issues and a general understanding of all aspects of estate management, property acquisitions and disposals.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Associate Director of Estates and Space Management to provide an estate management service in respect of the acquisition, management and disposal of all University properties, to include assisting in:
  • the management of all property related aspects of the University’s freehold estate;
  • the management of the leases associated with the University’s properties including the University’s commercial investment properties;
  • the management of the University’s property investment at the Tabley estate;
  • the management of the processes associated with property deeds, leases, rating assessments, insurance valuations, council tax bandings and rents;
  • ensuring the efficient and effective use of consultant surveyors and solicitors engaged to advise on estate management issues; and
  • To deputise, when required for the Associate Director of Estates and Space Management.
