Description:
Are you an experienced professional with a background in internal sales support or project management within manufacturing? This could be a great match for you! We are currently hiring for an Estimating Engineer role with one of our growing clients in Pewaukee. In this position, you’ll serve as the main point of contact and liaison between clients/end users and multiple internal departments, ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in roles such as Sales Estimator, Sales Support Specialist, or Project Coordinator.
- Metals industry experience is required.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) or similar design software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships with a wide range of customers and vendors.
- Experience in reading blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and constraints.
- Work with design and engineering teams to ensure accuracy in project scope and specifications.
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine material, labor, and resource needs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses.
- Evaluate direct and indirect costs, including labor hours, material costs, and overhead.
- Develop unit rates for various construction/engineering activities.
- Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Communicate with suppliers for material pricing and ensure bids are competitive.
