Estimating Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Estimating Manager at Rising Edge Group plays a critical role in overseeing the Estimating department, ensuring that all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills. The Estimating Manager is responsible for guiding the team in adherence to company procedures while fostering a collaborative work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Post secondary degree in Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required
• At least seven (7) years of cost engineering experience
• Must have at least ten (10) years of field experience in High Voltage industry
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
• Excellent team management skills required
• Extensive experience in bidding engineering and construction projects
• Highly proficient in InEight Estimate and Microsoft Office Suite programs, including MS Project
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to interpret contracts

• Lead and mentor the Estimating team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Review and validate all estimates, proposals, and bid documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify project requirements and assist estimators in gathering necessary information.
• Implement and develop departmental procedures, continuously seeking improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Risk Management protocols.
• Foster inter-departmental relationships for effective communication and collaboration.
