Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Estimating Manager at Rising Edge Group plays a critical role in overseeing the Estimating department, ensuring that all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time. This role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills. The Estimating Manager is responsible for guiding the team in adherence to company procedures while fostering a collaborative work environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Post secondary degree in Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field required
- At least seven (7) years of cost engineering experience
- Must have at least ten (10) years of field experience in High Voltage industry
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
- Excellent team management skills required
- Extensive experience in bidding engineering and construction projects
- Highly proficient in InEight Estimate and Microsoft Office Suite programs, including MS Project
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to interpret contracts
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Estimating team to enhance their skills and performance.
- Review and validate all estimates, proposals, and bid documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify project requirements and assist estimators in gathering necessary information.
- Implement and develop departmental procedures, continuously seeking improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Risk Management protocols.
- Foster inter-departmental relationships for effective communication and collaboration.
