Role Overview:
Are you ready to lead the charge in estimating for transformative infrastructure projects? We’re in search of a seasoned Estimating Manager to spearhead our bidding efforts and ensure the success of our projects. With a minimum of $1 billion Design & Construction (D&C) tender experience, you’ll be at the forefront of our most ambitious ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Management: Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids for Design & Construction (D&C) projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Cost Estimation: Oversee the estimation of project costs, including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads, utilizing your expertise in civil, mechanical, and electrical estimating to deliver accurate and reliable estimates.
  • Bid Strategy: Develop and implement bid strategies to maximize our chances of success, taking into account market conditions, competitor analysis, and client preferences.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential project risks and opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance project profitability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and procurement teams, to gather relevant information and ensure alignment of estimates with project requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating, with a proven track record of managing D&C tenders totaling at least $1 billion in value.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in international or Australian desalination/water treatment plant projects is preferred, demonstrating your understanding of project complexities and requirements.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in civil and/or mechanical estimating is a must, with additional experience in electrical estimating preferred. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other project documents to develop accurate estimates.
