The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Estimating and Pricing Specialist in Everett, WA.
We’re looking for a hands-on, results-oriented analyst to join our team.
In this role, you’ll use your technical manufacturing background to estimate the cost of parts, assemblies, and installations. You’ll also work with our finance and contracts teams to obtain best value with suppliers through boots on the ground supplier visits, suggesting manufacturing process improvements, internal negotiation strategy development and negotiation support. You will lead the development of defendable complex analyses and business cases in support of the pricing and estimating team as well as provide recommendations to our internal teams regarding any associated risk, finances and competition.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• 3+ years of years of experience do you have supporting cross-functional teams
• 3+ years of experience or knowledge with production processes within manufacturing
• 3+ years of experience do you have with Microsoft office suite
• 3+ years of experience do you have in cost estimation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Ability to proactively apply problem solving skills
• Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new systems & tools, estimating techniques, and gain program knowledge in a dynamic environment
• Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with external customer and across multiple functions including Finance, Supplier Management, and technical disciplines
• Demonstrate analytical or estimating capabilities
• Experience with time management skills to meet tight schedules with first time quality

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

• Develops estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
• Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
• Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals. Develops estimating and pricing methods
• Evaluates and develops business cases
• Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
• Develops and maintains pricing models. Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems and coordinates program database requirements
• Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals.
• Performs compliance activities including policy and procedure development, system/tool deployment and training delivery
