ABOUT THE BUSINESS & THE ROLE

Established in 2012, BCT has established a strong reputation in building homes in and around Melbourne’s inner west and Geelong.
BCT Group specialise in the design and construction of renovation, extension & knock down rebuild projects. Our team handle every aspect of a project, from design and interior design to pricing and construction.
With a solid pipeline of work ahead, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team.
With a versatile set of responsibilities, you will be highly suited to this opportunity if you have experience estimating in residential construction and are looking to be exposed to a wide variety of architecturally designed residential projects. Reporting to the Construction and estimating manager, the successful applicant will join a team committed to delivering a high quality service
A full-time role is on offer with salary based on experience.
This is a full time office based role. Our office is based in Kingsville.

JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with our team of in-house architects, interior designers, site managers & fellow estimators. You will report directly to the Construction & Estimating Manager. Your primary focus will be to complete material & labour take-offs, identify and vet subcontractor quotes and setup project estimates.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
· Provide preliminary cost estimates using CoConstruct & Buildxact for our concept designs & externally designed projects
· Attend preliminary site visits to assess existing site conditions
· Assist with full project cost estimating utilising both Buildxact & Coconstruct
· Attend client meetings to aid in the presentation of project budget’s
· Effectively issue purchase orders using CoConstruct to all suppliers and contractors
· Ensure each estimate is clearly documented and presented in a professional manner
· Assist with variations throughout the client project and ensure they are documented and costed accordingly

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Attend site visits with construction teams to assess existing conditions
· Review architectural, engineering and interior design documents to identify subcontractor quotes required
· Complete detailed material and labour take-offs
· Complete project budget/estimate
· Prepare & attend client presentations of project budget
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
