POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and dedicated engineer starting out in their career to work with an experienced team in our Engineering / R&D Department. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the customer requirements and create nonstandard concept designs based on standard solutions and cost them out. Full on the job mentoring and coaching will be available to develop you to your full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize nonstandard designs in chemical storage and water treatment solutions.
  • Cost out concept designs and provide the sales team with an accurate total cost.
  • Keep costing databases updated.
  • Add part numbers and Bill of Materials to the manufacturing control system.
  • Interact with suppliers to communicate concept designs and obtain quotations.
  • Interact with customers, design engineers and draftsmen to communicate the concept designs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation in Solidworks would be highly regarded.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively whilst still creating high quality solutions.
