The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Estimator to join our Cooling Division in Forrestdale, supporting the Operations Administration and Estimating/Scheduling functions. This full time, permanent role supports the busy and growing team with the coordination and administration tasks related to quoting, scheduling and customer relationship management.
This position would suit a candidate who has a strong administration background, supporting a busy workshop or heavy industry services who is looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to grow their skills and experience as part of a small but diverse and busy team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with estimating, planning and scheduling tasks,
- Assisting in producing estimates, quotes and proposals for new and existing customers,
- Assisting in generating quotes for parts orders as well as detailed job reports,
- Point of contact for customer queries and requests,
- Creating and maintaining records, reports and correspondence,
- Providing front desk support, including taking incoming calls and greeting visitors,
- Liaise with internal and external clients and suppliers on project statuses and project updates.
About You
To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
- Previous experience in an operation administration role, and keen to grow into something new,
- Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (would be an advantage),
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft products,
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal,
- Great data entry skills and attention to detail,
- Previous experience using Pronto would be an advantage,
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
