OVERVIEW

42 year old drywall contracting firm seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs and providing detailed estimates. This position requires strong analytical skills, an understanding of construction processes as they relate to the insulation and drywall industry in Canada. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

SKILLS

• Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles.
• Experience using Planswift estimating software is preferred.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with insulation and drywall construction materials, methods, and industry standards is a plus.

• Prepare detailed material take-offs of steel stud framing, insulation, spray foam and drywall quantities
• Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.
• Utilize Planswift software tool for estimating processes.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure alignment between estimates and project goals.
• Review and update estimates based on changes in project scope or design.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence related to projects.
